Welcome to Jardines de Denia 1 — we are Linda and Fredrik, the owners. We spend as much time here as we can and hope you will love it as much as we do. Below you will find the practical details we wish we had known on our first visit, plus a few of our favourite spots. Every restaurant we recommend is within a 10-minute walk, and the bakeries, shops and restaurants around us are open year-round.

Getting around
Buses, walks and everyday shops
You do not need a car for everything. Here is how we get around.
Bus to Dénia town
Buses run roughly every 20 minutes during the high season. The rest of the year they are less frequent, so check the timetable before you head out.
A walk into town
If you enjoy a stroll, the promenade along Les Marines is a flat, pleasant walk into the old town and harbour — especially nice in the morning or at sunset.
Bakeries, shops & restaurants
Our nearest bakery, Panadería La Luz, and the nearest Aldi are both about a 15-minute walk towards town — you can see them on the map below. They stay open year-round, so you are rarely stuck for fresh bread, milk or a simple meal.

Les Marines beach
around 200 m away
This is the beach we fell for. Long, sandy and Blue-Flag, with calm water in the morning. Our tip: grab a coffee from Blay Beach after your swim.
Dénia town
around 2 km away
The old town, the castle and the harbour are all worth a visit. We love wandering the narrow streets for tapas, or watching the ferries leave for the Balearic Islands.

Our go-to for a lazy lunch or a sundowner with sandy feet. Relaxed, friendly and right on the water.
Primera Línea

Fresh seafood, a lovely terrace and a warm welcome. We often come here for a long, slow dinner when we do not feel like cooking.
La Nova Cuina

A recent discovery — modern local cooking with real care. We recommend it for a special but unpretentious night out.
Everest
5–10 min walk
When we crave something different, we head here for flavourful Indian and Nepali food. The portions are generous and the staff always make you feel welcome.
Café Soles
5–10 min walk
A local favourite for huge, very tasty pizzas — one is easily enough for two. Great for a relaxed evening when you want simple, comforting food.
Quique Dacosta

For a truly memorable evening, book the three-Michelin-star tasting menu well in advance. It is a destination in itself.
About the apartment
Jardines de Denia 1
This is the apartment we keep coming back to. A bright top-floor duplex with sea views from both terraces and even from the top-floor bedroom. We love it for slow mornings on the terrace, afternoon swims and easy dinners in town. It feels just right for couples, small families or friends who want beach access and a bit of calm.
